MCKINNEY STORM MANCHESTERS IN THE CITY
The “In The City” bash held in Manchester, famous for “discovering” Coldplay, Oasis, The Darkness, was hit at weekend by the whirlwind that is McKinney. Blagging their way though into the main delegates area Zero, Marc and Danny then set about attracting the assembled crowd’s attention, Jumping up onto the main bar and shouting “YOU LOTS LISTEN TO THIS OR I START F*ŁKING THROWING THINGS” seemed to do just the job.
Playing three acoustic tracks off their debut album, McKinney made an immediate impression with the organisers of “In The City” and were asked to appear the following day on one of the main events.
Also, If you were in Manchester weekend of 18/19 Sept. you could not miss the 100 ft projection of the McKinney videos splashed across the side of one of the most famous Manchester landmarks, Industry delegates and Manchester’s night time crowd were treated to seeing the debut of McKinneys video for the track “Everyday”
Look out for the band when they hit the a town near you. NME's Rick Martin says "Not since Blondie hit their peak in '78 has there been a female fronted band worth caring about more ". Wise words indeed!

DANNY P JOINS MCKINNEY
Fresh from working with Gordon Raphael....the producer of the Strokes album “Is This It” McKinney are pleased to announce that Danny Pease has joined the band on a full time basis. “ It just feels like Danny was the last piece in the jigsaw to make this thing really fly” said singer Marc Ash in a recent interview. McKinney are also joined at the same time by Rich Thorn on Bass replacing the previous incumbent who according to a band spokesman is busy living on another planet.
