BFG RECOGNISED AS ONE OF THE TOP 20 MOST IMPORTANT GOTH/INDUSTRIAL BANDS ”

According to “RECORD COLLECTOR” magazine and Gothrec_coll Guru Mick Mercer, BFG's "Higher Than Heaven" is included in the run down of the “TOP TWENTY, ALL TIME GREATEST, GOTH TRACKS”. This places the band as one of the most important GOTH/INDUSTRIAL bands of the 80’s and is an indication of just how influential BFG became.

ATTICA LAUNCH NEW VIDEO PRODUCTION COMPANY

Following the tie-in with Pump Audio, Attica are pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated Video and advertizing arm of Attica.

The new entity is being launched as MentalSounds and the first project is the forthcoming video for the new Looby track.

MCKINNEY’S DEATH DISCO GIG

McKinney’s invertation to play at Alan Magee's Death Disco brought out several members of the music fraternity z_gig both new and old. Various band members from the Kings Of Leon were seen checking out McKinney along with one of the orginal godfathers of punk.....BUZZCOCK main man Steve Diggle.
After a blazing set the band then travelled the red eye trip back up to Manchester to perform a live accoustic set for the BBC followed by interview the next morning...ROCK AND ROLL.

BFG RECORDING NEW ALBUM

2009 finally sees the release of BFG's first album in 19 years. Entitled, "Pulling Wings from Butterflies" it hits hard and will be supported by the bands first gig since BFG's performance to 15,000 plus at the Lorelycorn stadium in Germany. Although at an early stage, it is planned that the release of the album will feature a live webcast of the band performing the new album including the planned first single "I Know Everything". Details of a competition to win tickets to the event will follow in the near future.

 

ATTICA SIGN DEAL WITH iTUNES

Attica anounce that it has signed a deal with download giant iTunes to handle past and future releases by Attica.

 

The first fruits of this agreement will be the world wide release of the Looby track "Shame Shame Shame" followed later in the year by the re-release of the BFG back calalogue in download form.

 

To celebrate BFG's first album in 19 years the bands entire back cataloge is also being re-packaged and re-released.
